Wire Guage Ampacity

Here’s a simple table of ampacity ratings for common wire gauges.  This is for lengths of twenty-five feet or less, typical extension cord construction.

10 AWG  :  30 Amps

12 AWG  :  20 Amps

14 AWG  :  15 Amps

16 AWG : 13 Amps

18 AWG :  10 Amps
