Incredible Musical Instrument – really Animusic!

.

For all the folks who keep thinking this is an “indredible machine built as a collaborative effort between the Robert M. Trammel Music Conservatory and the Sharon Wick School of Engineering at the University of Iowa”, you are mistaken!!!

.

Sorry, but this is being mis-represented.  It’s a music video (3D animation) named “Pipe Dreams” and it’s found at http://www.animusic.com/
.
Don’t get me wrong, we love all the Animusic material (own the DVD, etc.), but want the real artists (Wayne Lytle, Dave Crognale, et. al.) to get credit for their work instead of a fake for Univ of Iowa.  Check out the other material at the Anamusic website.  It’s all just as incredible.  Those who shared the viral email were absolutely correct, we really appreciate this.  We first saw it as a filler on PBS between shows.  The graphics are all driven by a custom software engine designed to interface with the graphics.  It’s been around a while now, so it was more bleeding edge than many realize today.
.
Thanks for sharing.  Please pass along that the real credit goes to Animusic. I hope you enjoy their other stuff.  We do!
